CalcSA is South Africa's calculator: quick, basic, exact. Bond repayments, transfer duty, take-home pay, tax, retirement and everyday sums - in rands, on the current SARS tables and South African rules.
What makes it different
- South African first. SARS tax tables, transfer duty, the BCEA, the National Credit Act, UIF - not a US calculator with a rand sign stuck on.
- The answer moves as you type. No submit button, no email wall - an account is optional.
- Every number is shown. Each calculator breaks the answer down so you can see how it was worked out.
- Nothing leaves your browser unless you sign in. Your saved calculations live on your own device; an optional account keeps only your profiles. See the privacy policy.
How we keep it right
Each calculator is checked against a worked example from the source - SARS, the gazetted Act, a bank or the regulator - before it goes live, and the rates it uses are dated on the page. When a rate changes (a Budget, a repo rate decision, a new tariff) we update it.
Spotted a number that looks wrong? Please tell us - we fix those first.
Who runs it
CalcSA is built and run by Netdentity in South Africa. It is free to use and paid for by clearly marked advertising.
The calculators give estimates, not financial advice - see the disclaimer.
